Let’s take a stroll down memory lane to March 18, 2020—a time when the world had just started to slow down, and we were all getting cozy with Shelter in Place. It’s a classic story of “boy meets girl on Hinge.” Connor asked Shakti to go on a little walk through the city. That little walk turned into a 7-mile stroll by closed coffee shops and empty streets. Filled with open hearts and seamless connection, they knew that little walk was the start of something very special.

The next three years were coated by a shared sense of belonging and adventure. Playful Zoom calls became Marvel movie marathons from the comforts of home. Fluid conversation in the streets of SF turned into flights to India, San Diego, Oregon, New York, Hawaii, Vegas, Maine, New Hampshire, Cancun….and more.

On March 18, 2023, Connor told Shakti to prepare for a day of “family pictures” with the sunrise and to be ready at 5:30 in the morning. Not at ALL panicking, Connor picked Shakti up from Oakland and maintained his composure for the 45-minute drive to Lands End. They took another “little walk” up a small hill and paused in front of candles, flowers, and their friend Vanessa with a camera. Shakti’s heart rushed, and Connor, calm and collected, knelt and made Shakti’s dream proposal come true as a soft rain subsided into a breathtaking sunrise.

Shakti and Connor are bubbling with excitement and joy as they embark on this journey together. We humbly ask for your blessings and are thrilled to see where this incredible journey will take us next!
